Has anybody had a problem trying to insert their headphones? Mine just do NOT seem to want to go and I'm afraid to try again cause everything else is working really well. But life without music??????????????????????
Mine work fine. I only used them once though. I listen to mine using bluetooth headphones. I got them off of Ebay, here is the link. Mine were reburbished and I've had them a while and no problems. http://cgi.ebay.com/Nextlink-Spider-Stereo-Bluetooth-Headphones-Refurb_W0QQitemZ250530770118QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBluetooth_Wireless_Products?hash=item3a54cc2cc6
Do any other headphones work? if they do something are wrong with the ones that your using... if they don't work then you may have a bad headphone port on your Tour
NOTHING will go in there. I took it to the local store and THEY tried to put some of their headphones in it. It's like the port is too small or something is blocking it. Anyway, to make a long story short, in typical CSouth front desk fashion, the VERY helpful (insert major sarcasm) rep said it must be something I had done and it's not covered under warranty. I got this phone November 4. I don't want to file a warranty claim cause I know they'll try to stick me for something I didn't have anything to do with.
May try to talk to the store manager or someone higher up... that person has no idea what they're talking about
The first pair of headphones I tried to use just didn't seem to want to go in, almost as if the plug was to long. I got the set that came with the phone and they also didn't seem to want to go in at first. I carefully made sure the plug was lined up and it went in. Went back to the original set of headphones and tried them again and they went in. My guess is the first time you plug headphones in it's a very tight fit.
hmmm ive seen on recent forums that there were OS problems with the jack and AD2P playback....though not the port itself i don't think. i haven't tried mines but will this afternoon.
okay i didn't try the oem headphones that came with the Tour but i did try my ipod headphones and they worked. however, if you look down into the jack, you will see a gold piece sticking out. the only way i was able to get it to fit was to insert the headphone jack closer to the left rather than dead center. doing this made it go right in.
Ok. sorry for the loooooooong delay. I finally found someone at the Discover Center who knew what they were doing (different store). They figured it out somehow and voila! BTW, they also had a 3.5mm audio cable in stock too so now i can play my music through the car stereo. The previous "enlightened" person told me that CS doesn't make or SELL auxiliary cables. Not gonna rant though, problem solved and Tour is now once again my bestest new friend. Man, the thought of those long car trips without my tunes was just........well, depressing.
Tour and Curve are both buy one get one free for next 5 days. Netbooks are on sale for $99 for the next 5 days.
I saw an ad in the paper for the Tour for $99 and buy one, get one free. Crazy question, since I already bought mine for a higher price (of course less than a month ago). Does anyone think CS will do a credit for the difference or allow someone in my situation to take advantage of the current offer? It WOULD be cool to have a spare fone.
I can almost tell you "No." 1. Csouth ALWAYS runs specials like that typically within a month or two after a new device. 2. The BOGO offer requires that both devices have 2 year data contracts which considering the 79.99/39.00 plan, isn't bad. 3. It would be cool though B)
