Blackberry TOUR versus HERO

IF lack of MMS, NO FLASH, so-so picture quality, poor battery life is acceptable go for the  HERO........

At least I don;t feel as ripped off as last years BB STORM joke release....

The Tour is a great phone ....I almost wish I had kept mine.....

As with all new phones perhaps the Hero will mature with a software upgrade and redeem itself..........great phone but certainly NOT an IPHONE replacement as the TV Ads suggest.

I think the android devices will get better over time faster processors, more memory.  Just to early in the game to tell but apple is finally releasing a cdma iphone 3rd quarter of 2010 so they must be feeling the pressure.

I think the Tour is the best blackberry to date.

The Hero has flash or am I crazy?  I see it come up all the time when i'm browsing the web.  And as to the iphone, it's only had MMS for a couple months at the most lol :)

Yes... the Hero has Flash LIGHT.  Which means it supports some Flash, but not all.

my opinions and observations...

CS Hero:

    pros:
        large touch display AND trackball
        wifi
        threaded SMS
        pull-down notifications bar
google account integration (if you use google accounts)
        Android OS
        phone/address book
        full HTML browser
        Sense User Interface and widgets
        Flash support (light)
        apps, apps, apps

    cons:
        occasional lag
battery life (some say, not my personal experience)
        no hardware keyboard
        limited available accessories
        HTC Sync
        no MMS
        no BBM, ha

CS Tour:

    pros:
        proven, solid built BB hardware
        BIS
        vibrant, high res display
        solid hardware keyboard
        shortcut keys
        BBM
        BB Desktop Manager

    cons:
        battery pulls
        app store / apps
        browser limitations
        trackball
        no Flash support
        no wifi

I think that's a fair list for both phones.  It would boil down to what is more important to you when choosing which is "best" for you personally.
