Why does csouth now take your phone when you upgrade after a year?
I wanted to buy Hero with no contract and they told me i had to turn in my blackberry pearl flip. I just left after hearing that. At another time my sister also went to get the Hero. Her 2 year contract was up but they still asked for her phone. is this a new policy or something?

A month and a half ago I went and bought a Hero without a contract and they ask me if I wanted to turn my curve in as a credit of $20 and I told them no and was still able to get the hero.
Same here; its optional... may want to specifically ask about it
When I upgraded from a pearl to the curve last year they asked me if I wanted to turn the pearl in for a $20 credit. I told them no that I planned to give it to my daughter. I was in contract but bought the curve out right. When I went to get the tour on an early upgrade they asked me again if I wanted to turn in the curve. I told them no and they said there would be a $20 charge on the account. I told them fine the curve is worth more to me then $20 since it looks and works like brand new. Looks like they use to give a credit and now they just charge you if you don't turn in your phone.
