Google NexusOne

Maybe this will be the next Cellular South Android phone.  I sure hope so.

edit:  Will an unlocked NexusOne work on CS?  Does anyone know?

Where did you get your info?  I just got a somewhat conflicting answer.  My CS business account rep just told me that when the Verizon version is available, it should be able to be used on the CS network.  I just noticed that the NexusOne that was released today is GSM only, and that the CDMA version is coming next.

I had asked about other unlocked cdma phones in the past and was told no that the handsets had to be
Specifically programmed and previously on their network or they would not activate it.
Hopefully w Android being something cs is babbling with they will chang3 this .
It would be nice because thee are a lot of nice cdma phones cs does not carry.

An unlocked nexus one..depending on IF the phone is GSM and CDMA....from the info i read it seems there will be diff versions, a GSM and a CDMA version. IF they do make it a "world" type..technically yes it would work but wouldnt be able to get it hooked up on cs network due to it not being a cs phone. The system would notify the rep and the esn change wouldnt go through.

Cell South would just love for all of us to go by our phones elsewhere and use them on there network.  Truth is there is money in hardware sales and cellular south does not want to part with that.  Looks like they will never allow unlocked phones to me.

So don't allow unlocked phones,  but start selling them yourself.

I asked a CS sales person about that and she told me that it had to be a cs phone before it would work.  I am like you i would love to have the nexus one i have been reading up on it.

Never know what CS will do, especially with the Androids, they seem to be so proud of them but I am glad to see them stepping up a little even though I am a BBerry fan.
