Price of the Hero
Hey Everyone, I'm new here. Does anyone know when the price of the Hero will go back down to $99? I'm due for an upgrade, and really don't feel like paying an additional $100 up front. Also, when did CS go up on their upgrade/activation fee to $49?? I thought $36 was ridiculous to begin with.

If I had to guess, it probably won't go back down any time soon. I'm sure the $99 was to get everybody hooked. And I didn't realize the early upgrade fee went up!
They told me yesterday it would cost me $49 to upgrade my phone. Crazy I know.
So if I go tomorrow and upgrade to another phone its $49 plus the cost of the phone right?
Thats not so bad, att makes you pay the full price of the phone. They don't even have an option to pay an upgrade fee. A new phone (without an available upgrade) is around $400. They only offer upgrade prices every 2 years.

Upgrade and activation are seperate. The activation fee is still $36. The early termination fee is dependent on how early you are terminating/renewing your contract. For example: I still have a year left on my contract. My contract was for 2 years voice and 2 years data. So if I were terminate today, I would pay $95 for the voice contract and $95 for the data. At the end of 2009, it was $120 apiece.
