HTC Touch Diamond text message problems
My phone was affected by the y2016 text messaging bug. I installed the .cab workaround that can be found all over the web, but from my understanding this only uses the time from the phone to date the messages. Call me picky...but this sort of sucks. Is anyone else seeing this problem? Has anyone seen a solution?
i had the problem with my Diamond, after several attempts i finally found the solution.
i believe its on the htc support site only thing is there is not a patch listed for Cellular South. I used the Sprint fix and it seemed to work fine.

Yeah I've tried that, but I get the error that i need ROM version at least 2.0xxxxx something. I have the Ziggy2016 fix, but its mildly annoying not knowing when someone actually sent a message if my phone is off or something
You were able to install the HTC fix without upgrading the ROM though?
yes mine was fine may be a newer revison of Diamond than yours is...... you can always update firmware from htc site then try the fix
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get my data and phone contacts off of a HTC Touch Diamond that the screen has went off and will not work. I can still hook it to the computer and it will connect and react like a storage device but i need to get the sync. turned on but i can not see the screen to do so.
