What will Cellular South do if they see you are rooted?
I wondered this. My buttons are peeling on my phone and I would like to get a new one. Problem is., I am rooted. Will they even notice? I think the n00b techs here in Mississippi want even notice it or tell a difference. I can just say that the feature is part of an app I got, right? I mean, how will they know? Or even more important, would they care? I don't want to walk in there and they be like "Oh, this phone is rooted. I am going to have to take it up because it is a violation of our TOS" HAHA Well, what do you know? Could someone ask a Cellular South buddy of theirs if they would say anything? Let me know! Thanks!
Edit: Could an admin change the "so" in the title of this thread to "do" please? Typos suck. You can also delete this part if you want. Oh, and take out the "a" before rooted too please ;D HAHA I fail at life but it's okay.
I'm pretty sure they can tell if you're rooted, but i've had conflicting information on whether you will get denied warranty service because of it.
Well, that's the problem. You can't save an image of the stock Cellular South ROM. (But if you happen to have one, Everyone over at xda will probably worship you LOL)
Just nandroid back to a 1.5 Sprint Rom and remove all Sprint bloatware. They won't know it's Sprint unless they dig into settings and crap... but by the time they do that... you will have your new phone.
Oh and 9 times out of 10 they will tell you to go through your insurance. And they won't care... they just want your down payment and your monthly fee lol
