Desire could be considered a game changer

i seen that the HTC Desire is coming to US Cellular on August 27, 2010 hopefully we will get it then

CS and US Cellular have historically been pretty close together on release dates.  Im still waiting on the galaxy s though

I would like to wait on the Galaxy S i do not know if my Touch Diamond will make it that long it says in the fall and has not been uncovered i may have to go with the HTC Desire I have been looking at both of them.

The price kinda shocked me I was expecting it to be 199.99, but I was pleasantly surprised. But for those interested the Milestone is still 149.99 as well. Doesn't make any sense feature wise but they have their reasons.

So has anyone got one yet? Or is everyone waiting for the Galaxy S? I'm really considering dropping my data plan all together and just getting a iPad 3G.....

Same, gave my tour away and got the Desire. Well worth it IMO.

That article is the first I've seen mention about Cellular South getting the HTC Wildfire or the LG Axis... interesting.

I've been looking seriously to upgrade from my touch to a droid phone, The desire maybe my ticket, I believe it may be the closest we get to an incredible for quite some time. My only reluctance is the operating system. This phone seems to be quite behind since Froyo has been released for a while now. Does anyone know when or if the Froyo 2.2 operating system will be for the desire. It appears that HTC is concentrating on updates for the Desire Z and Desire HD. Any thoghts?

I traded my Desire in for a Milestone, I now have better reception and battery life. Only lost a few things in the trade in but was able to root and overclock to make the Milestone as much phone as the Desire. Reception where I live and work has its moments so don't think the HTC is a bad phone, I truly loved it. Now if I can just get my hands on the Galaxy in a few months.

I've updated to a Desire.  It runs laps around the HTC Hero CSouth was forcing down everyone's throats.  Now I'm just waiting for the Froyo update...
