Not really since we have the same specs...Oh but you'll have fun selecting the small text since you have no dpad or trackpad

They are both really similar, the Desire battery life lacks something to be, well, desired though.
After rooting and modding though it's fantastic

Do you have a working and stable 2.2 ROM for the Desire?

There isn't quite a stable 2.2 release for the CDMA desire (BravoC) yet. Cyanogenmod is pretty close as they just got the source for 2.2 BravoC a few days ago. It shouldn't be much longer for the Cyanogenmod is available as a stable release. Right now it can't send MMS, record video and a few other minor details heh. As soon as it's worked out though I will be updating to it.

2.1 rooted with several stock apps removed and keeping bluetooth and wifi off unless I need them my battery lasts 1.5 days with normal usage. I don't text ALOT though.

I've overclocked my desire to 1.2 easily. No they aren't exactly the same, but the Desire is a great phone. Cyanogenmod has also released a stable Froyo mod, CM6.1 RC1 for the CDMA Desire. Make sure you get the BravoC CMDA version though!

Really need some more devs on the bravoc. Aren't too many choices out at the moment. CM, UD, & MIUI are really it. dphase hasn't done much with the Sense project he started (maybe dead). I would really like some options.

I am running CM 6.1 RC 2. Its great. However I do like to flash something new to see what it has to offer. Hopefully soon...

I am looking for a stock Cell South Desire rom.  I am running CM6.1 but miss some things about stock and had some issues with CM6 while I was out of town. I do not have a backup since....oops.  Please help if you can.

Does anyone else running CM6 have MMS working? I can receive, but not send. I am trying to find the correct APN settings, none I've found the on the internet seem to work.

ok... I currently have the Hero.. but I'll be able to update on April 26th 2011 to something new... I was thinking about the Desire since it is so cheap now.  I was also thinking about rooting it and updating it to 2.2 or 2.3.  

Can anyone attest to how well the CM mod works on Cellular South Desire?  Would it be worth rooting and modding, or should I just stick with Android 2.1 with Sense UI?   

Anyone heard if there are going to update the cellular south Desire to 2.2?

As far as I know, there is no root for the desire for CellSouth.

I am having a problem with my desire. I recently got it and did the whole activation thing and when I send a SMS (Text) I get an error. "Cause code 97; Error Class 2" I have researched it and it seems that I just simply need to re-activate the phone again. Well I called 611 and they told me to take my battery out, put it back in, call *228 and then it should be fine. Well I did all that and about 45 minutes later, I'm still getting the error message. I really don't feel like going to the store, any suggestions??
