I see that on the Samsung's website that they Galaxy will tether - is there anywhere stating CSouth will block this on the phone?
I also seen that but i thought that was with the Android 2.2
It looks like the Samsung phone will be the Samsung Vibrant. If you look at the picture on the website and compare the bottom half of the phone to the Vibrant it matches. It doesn't look like the Epic or the Captivate.
It actually is the Galaxy S, I got an email from CS insider.
I just want to know when it's going on sale. It's the droid phone I'm waiting for! : )
I am waiting on the Galaxy S also but i dont know if my phone is going to make it, look how long it is taking them to release the HTC Desire it has been uncovered for a while. From what i have read they are saying this fall but who is to know when that is
I like CSouths plans and all, but they are so late in getting the new phones. 3 other carriers in my area already have the Galaxy S (in one flavor or another), several have the Droid X as well. I'm almost ready to pay $20 more a month to TMobile just to get the latest greatest toys!

Unfortunately, my business rep told me that they're expecting the Desire and Galaxy S to be ready just in time for the holiday season... Thanksgiving or after.
I feel your pain on wanting to leave to go to another carrier, but dang you can't beat CSouths coverage.. especially during football season. They got me by the balls! LOL HOTTY TODDY!
They do have good coverage. I'm just so disappointed that the "Summer of Android" they touted consisted of releasing ONE android phone that is over a year old and just had the 2nd version announced!

update... Rep told me that the Galaxy S will be for the holiday season, but the Desire is set for September. We'll see how that pans out.
Probly the end of Sept at this rate, but I will wait and see!

So the Cellular South Galaxy S phone is going to be called the Showcase?
According to the last few paragraphs of this::
it will be.
Plus, they are getting the HTC Wildfire and LG Axis.
Cell South has the Galaxy S up in picture form! It looks just like the Vibrant. Not to shabby if i do say so myself. The release has also been moved to the holidays. That's a pretty good stocking stuffer!
