If you were to apply this update to an un-rooted phone, could you root it at a later date? I thought that part had been cracked, but I could be mistaken.

I didn't make it yet today, but was going to Sam's Club. AFAIK they are the only ones in stock right now in my area.
Their not that great....the network is a little spotty and they always put this bloatware bullshit on their phones....its very annoying
Well I cancelled CS today. Got up with a full charge on my battery and within 2 hours it was dead
and the back of the phone was hot as hell. I'm getting the Evo Friday and going with Sprint. CS was gonna give me a refurb phone and I told them I did not buy a refurb and that was it for me.
