Possible to track a phone on a map?
Our business has several employees who use the HTC Hero from CS. We have a recurring problem with not knowing for sure who is in the building, who is in the field, etc.
We were wondering if there is a way to access a map on a PC, and see the location of each of the HTC phones via their location identification. Does anyone know if this is possible? This would solve a lot of problems for us if this was possible.
Any ideas?
Just to clarify:
1. We're not interested in seeing a phone's tracks, just the current location.
2.
We would like to be able to do this off the "Location On" Location
setting, instead of the GPS function, to help preserve the battery in
the phone.

Google latitude should do what you are looking for and it is already on the heroes. Open Google maps and under the menu i think it says join latitude. Just add who you want as friends and then on the computer log into to I Google and the map with all the phones that are friends will be there,
try GPS Tracker (Andrioid App) Its made my InstaMapper. I have it on mine just incase its ever stolen. You can set up how long it takes to update. Mine is updated every 30 mins. Its very accurate. You can also go on line and check it out. You just have to create a login and then your good. It shows on a map and satellite view of the phone and where its been.
Google Lattitude works. I tracked my son's progress as he traveled to our location and back home during the holidays.
is there a way to make lattitude show movement of a tracked person in real time (by real time I mean if they were driving down your street it would show them moving .. not just update 1 time every 15 minutes) ?
is there any app that tracks in true real time?
