Digital roaming and tethering

Hello everyone,
Quick question regarding the unlimited data plan. I have a hero and a curve both with unlimited everything. I have been using the hero to tether at home some, but I have to place the phone into evdo only mode, and when I do, it shows digital roaming on the lockscreen. Is this anything to be concerned about as far as incurring overages charges? When I asked my rep about tethering, he just said it was not supported. I assume I am roaming on VZN network, but when I pull up the speed test on speedtest.net, it says my ISP is indeed cellular south?
Any input is appreciated.

I don't know how to answer the digital roaming question, but I do know about tethering. Even though tethering is "not supported", that does not mean tethering will not function. This is just another situation where you have to decrypt legalese to find the truth. ;)
