Not happy with switching from iPhone
I just got a HTC Desire yesterday. I had an iPhone, but got tired of AT&T's spotty coverage, especially their data coverage. I wanted to switch to CS because of the Desire, the smartphone unlimited plan, and better coverage.
I know it's soon, but I'm not as happy as I expected to be. Mainly because the lack of memory on the Desire. I knew going in that it only had 8MB of internal memory, but I thought I could use the SD card. With my iPhone, all my apps and media used less than 8MB of my 16MB memory. With the Desire, I can't even put all the apps I want on the phone before it runs out of memory (and its fewer apps than the iPhone). Don't even get me started about the battery ( or lack thereof)!
I'll give it another day or two, but so far, I think I'm going to return the Desire and cancel with Cell South.
I didn't have any luck with the battery life either, I went to a Milestone to hold me over until the Galaxy comes out. It did help a little when I turned wifi and gps off on the Desire and had to use task manager to kill apps that weren't in use
