Kies Mini
Kies Mini was released for the showcase on 1/2/2011. I have installed it on a 32-bit Vista machine and a 32-bit Windows 7 machine. Kies recognized my phone number and model, but it says "unregistered device" for the firmware version. I registered my device the day I bought the phone. Just to make sure, I tried to register it a second time, and the registration page said that my device was already registered. I found some posts on XDA and other sources that stated it might have something to do with the data on the memory card, or it might require a factory reset. By the way, the phone is stock. I yanked the memory card...didn't work. I then reset my phone, and it didn't work. Antivirus is off. The drivers are loaded and listed in device manager properly.
Has anyone seen anything other than "unregistered device" in Kies Mini on a Cellular South Showcase?

Here is the response that I received from a Samsung Technician when I told him that my firmware version is 2.1-update1:
The phone has the current version of the Firmware and the next version is not yet released in the market, that the reason you are getting that error message.
