I have the Galaxy S from CSouth and Galaxy Tab from Sprint (wifi only) and was wondering if anyone has gotten their Galaxy Tab, providing they have one, to TETHER using the Galaxy S without having to buy an app or root it? What is this rooting business all about anyway?
I am pretty sure that you have to be rooted to use wifi tether.
As far as rooting, with the one click methods, its pretty safe and painless.
I used Z4root to do mine, then downloaded wifi tether from the market. Works great.
